Aereogramme // ABGESAGT Beatpol

In Deutschlands Großstädten sieht das momentan so aus: Jeder vierte Bekannte erzählt irgendwas von Grippe, Fieber, Kopf- und Gliederschmerzen. Das typische Post-Winter/Prä-Frühlings-Geschehen. Und nicht nur wir müssen ab und an einmal einen gelben Zettel einreichen: Bei Aereogramme sieht es nun genauso aus.

Deren Sänger Craig ist zwar nicht von der Grippe befallen, leidet aber schon seit längerem an einer Kehlkopfentzündung, wegen der die Band auch schon die England-Tour ausfallen musste. Weil es einfach nicht besser wurde, zog man jetzt die Konsequenzen und ließ über ihre Booking-Agentur mitteilen, dass auch die gesamten Deutschland-Daten ausfallen müssen. Die Konzerte werden möglicherweise nachgeholt, bereits gekaufte Karten werden an den bekannten VVK-Stellen ersetzt.

Gute Besserung, von dieser Stelle. Die Band äußerte sich ebenfalls zu der Absage, den genauen Wortlaut könnt ihr hier nachlesen:

»1. Unfortunately, Craig the singer from Aereogramme has been batttling against a viral throat infection for the past couple of weeks. At the moment, he is showing no signs of getting any better anytime soon.
After much thought and deliberation, both band and managament have decided to not put Craig under any additional pressure to get show fit and all their forthcoming performances are to be cancelled and this includes your show/s.
They are a band that never cancel shows and they are extremely sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause to you .

2. Sorry to have to report the bad news that due to continuing health problems, we have had to cancel all of the tour dates for February and March. Our sincerest apologies go out to the bands that were scheduled to play with us, especially 27, all of the people who were putting the shows on, and finally to everyone who bought tickets for the shows.

Giving Craig time to rest and recover means that we will be fighting fit again soon and ready to record the new full-length album in the Summer as well as get back on the road playing noisy rock music for all you lovely people. This has been a heartbreaking time for us and canceling the remaining and rescheduled shows has been a really tough decision to make, but one which we think will be for the best in the long term.«
