4 Woman No Cry Mit: Dorit Chrysler, Mico, Iris, Monotekktoni Eben erschien via Monika Enterprise schon “Volume 2” der CD-Serie “4 Women No Cry”, die es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, noch nicht ganz so prominente weibliche Acts zu viert auf einer Platte vorzustellen und mit der Bündelung auch die Aufmerksamkeit zu maximieren. Logisch, dass dieses Konzept auch ein kleines Festival rechtfertigt, dessen Besuch hiermit dringendst angeraten wird.     „Don’t Cry – Work“ goes a hard but hearty phrase by famous German pop-writer Rainald Goetz. Well then, go on and on: The second isssue in the „4 Women No Cry“-series has arrived. Every year this fresh format presents four new female artists from four global cities. 4 Women, 4 directions – this time: NYC, London, Berlin, Barcelona. 4 Women, 4 sound innovations – this time: Electronic Neo- Psychedelia (Dorit Chrysler), Strange LoFi-Dubstep (Mico), Neurotic Electro- Minimalism (Monotekktoni), Bittersweet Breakbeat (Iris). Magic psychogeographies of sound emerge and blur the outlines of official genres. Their contaminated beauty cannot be summarized, it arises from a subversive melancholy (without tears) and the euphoric presentiment, that new and nameless intensities might happen at this very moment. These artists grab the means of production and the presets and work with them just as they like.
